1. Victory Conditions & Scoring
The game ends when a Hero reaches 25 Glory (Instant Win) or at the end of Turn 20 (Ragnarok).
If the game ends by time, the winner is determined by Total Glory:
- Base Glory: Earned by slaying monsters.
- Wealth Bonus: Every 10 Wealth = 1 Glory.
- Luck Bonus: Every 3 Luck = 1 Glory.
2. Monsters & Rewards
Slaying monsters grants Glory and Luck:
- Dragon (Str 6): 6 Glory, 5 Luck.
Drops a Magic Treasure.
- Witch (Str 5): 5 Glory, 4 Luck.
Teaches a Rune.
- Giant (Str 4): 4 Glory, 3 Luck.
- Drow (Str 3): 3 Glory, 2 Luck.
Teaches a Rune.
- Troll (Str 3): 3 Glory, 3 Luck.
- Ghost (Str 2): 2 Glory, 2 Luck.
Teaches a Rune.
3. Turn Sequence
- Turn Order: Heroes move in descending order of Glory.
- Recovery: If Wounded, you must choose to Rest (Skip Turn) or risk Death.
- Taxes: Collect Gold from all lands you control (Bordered in your color).
- Movement: Click adjacent circles to move. Movement ends if you enter a space with an Enemy.
4. Combat
Combat occurs when you end movement on an Enemy (Monster or Player).
- Strength: Hero + Jarls + Items vs Enemy Strength.
- Luck: You may spend Luck to modify the die roll (+/-).
- Results:
K (Kill): Enemy dies. Gain Glory/Loot.
W (Wound): You are wounded. If already wounded, you Die.
F (Flee): Combat ends, no winner.
5. The Gods
After a successful battle, click "Pray". The gods may grant you boons (Combat Bonuses), Wealth, or heal your Wounds.
6. Jarls & Items
- Recruitment: Pay half a Jarl's strength in Luck or Glory to recruit them.
- Magic Swords: Add +1 or +2 to Combat Strength.
- Dragon Hoards: Killing a Dragon drops a Magic Treasure.
- Runes: Killing Witches or Ghosts teaches you Runes (Passive buffs).
